Dr. Holger Nieland

After the first state examination he worked as a research assistant to Prof. Marcus Lutter at the Zentrum für Europäisches Wirtschaftsrecht (Center for European Economic Law, University of Bonn), where he completed his doctoral thesis on copyright law.

After his traineeship in Hamburg, Berlin and London, Holger Nieland began his professional career in 2005 in the Munich office of Beiten Burkhardt in the IP / IT / Media department. He has been working for DAMM & MANN since December 2006, mainly in the area of libel and defamation law as well as copyright law. Since 2013 Holger Nieland is partner of the law firm.

Holger Nieland is “Fachanwalt für Urheber- und Medienrecht” (certified specialist lawyer for copyright and media law). He is lecturer for copyright law at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover and lecturer for Media Law at the University of Greifwald.
